Shahid and Kareena shoot together

The producer of Milenge Milenge is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his film, which features Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur and has been long in the making, appeals to movie buffs. Director Satish Kaushik admits that portions of the film that might have got dated have been even re-shot.

"Yes, we have re-shot portions of Milenge Milenge in Delhi. The entire film is set in Delhi, just like my other hit film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai with Kareena. In fact, I was supposed to do another film with Kareena (Dil Chor with Abhishek Bachchan) for Boney (Kapoor). Instead we did Milenge Milenge," said Kauhsik.

Interestingly it was Kareena who recommended Shahid for the role. Both were seen together in Fida (2004). The film didn't do well at the box office but their next release in 2007, "Jab We Met", was a blockbuster.

Kareena broke up with Shahid while working on Jab We Met but Kaushik says her personal relationship never interfered with Milenge Milenge, which is being produced by Boney Kapoor.

"Both Kareena and Shahid have been complete professionals. If Milenge Milenge has taken so long to be completed, it's not because of the artists. Everything from my personal family problems to the tsunami happened to Milenge Milenge.

"One schedule in Bangkok got cancelled at the last minute. Tsunami struck and everyone got washed away in the tides where we were supposed to shoot. If the film could survive the tsunami, what's a bit of negativity about a delayed project? Pakeezah and Mughal-e-Azam were in the making for decades," he said.

Milenge Milenge got another jolt when Salman, who was supposed to make a special appearance, opted out because he discovered he couldn't get along with Shahid.

Far from putting the project on the backburner, Boney and Kaushik are more determined than ever to release Milenge Milenge this summer. The movie is their version of Peter Chelsom's 2001 romantic comedy Serendipity.

The film is about two people involved elsewhere who after a chance encounter decide to give their feeling for one another a chance to grow.

Kareena-Shahid had still some Konnection

Lately, almost every time Shahids name cropped up she too was mentioned , and not in a positive manner. To portray her as the restless woman who jilted Shahid for Saif is so unfair . Only Kareena and Shahid know what really happened to tear them apart.

The day Kareena opens her mouth, Shahids image of injured innocence will collapse in a heap. But Kareena is not one to wash dirty linen in public. She wishes Shahid well and would like nothing better than for both of them to move on. Kareena has moved on but the same cannot be said about Shahid. The strangest part, according to the couples friend, is the aggressive attitude the usually calm and restrained Shahid has towards Saif. The source said, Recent reports on Shahid insinuate that he has done better in Vishal Bhardwajs Kaminey than Saif did in the directors Omkara. Where do these comparisons come from

Commenting on whether there is a pattern to these recurring references to Saif and Kareena in connection with Shahid, Saif said, Normally, I wouldnt go by any conspiracy theory. But this does seem a little too much. Why are Kareena and I dragged into other peoples lives If someone talks about Kaminey, then Im forced to say the role was first offered to me. But do we have to resort to this silly game of oneupmanship Were all mature adults here and we should behave accordingly.

Kareena, who has so far maintained a discreet silence on the topic of Shahids constant fascination with anything to do with her, was aghast when a television channel on Wednesday night did a detailed hour-long report on how Kareena was trying to get Shahids current love Priyanka Chopra out of his life. Barely able to control her annoyance any longer, Kareena said, Why am I being dragged into all this I dont like my name to come up in connection with other peoples lives. Ive moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so. Beyond that I dont wish to say anything. Nothing can separate Saif and me. Certainly not these silly attempts to drag me back to a past Ive left behind. Please leave us alone.
