Kareena-Saif make it relation official
For the most controversial couple in Bollywood that they are, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan seemed to play it real cool. Barely weeks after rumours of their relationship made their way into the media, the two stars stepped out for the first time at a public function. The event: Manish Malhotra's grand finale show at the Lakme Fashion Week Spring-Summer '08.
Despite the media glare, I must say the twosome carried themselves off brilliantly . Dressed in a strappy black outfit, Kareena looked stunning and fielded questions from the reporters while Saif who standing back-to-back did the same. And them came the moment when Saif, who has repeatedly been issuing denials, finally confirmed the status the of his relationship with Kareena.
"Yes, we are not exactly shouting from the rooftops but yes, clearly we are together. And we are happy together," Saif said.
Following the reported break-up between Kareena and her "boyfriend-for-four-years", Shahid Kapur, the actress and Saif were spotted together at numerous hot spots in Mumbai and Delhi. The two reportedly got close while shooting for their upcoming film Tashan, setting the rumour mills abuzz with their link-up. The actress also celebrated her 27th birthday last month, with a small party for select friends including Saif.
My, how things change! I remember last year Manish Malhotra made Shahid and Kareena the show stoppers at his grand finale. He had dressed them in black and the two had looked so happy together....
Meanwhile, Kareena who has been known for her I-care-a-damn attitude gave Preity Zinta a dose of it too. At the show, despite being just a seat away from Preity, Kareena didn't so much bother to give her a second look let alone talk to her. However on spotting Amrita Arora and Usman Afzal before the show started, she did make it a point to go across the ramp and say hello.
Now Kareena, I know that after a lull, you have quite a few offers up your kitty and possibly that's the reason you are flying high. But sweetheart, you of all people should know that keeping friends in the industry is only good for your own self, shouldn't you?
