Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to wed 'shortly'

One of the most anticipated weddings in Bollywood is set to become a reality in the near future as Saif Ali Khan stated, "I'm now looking forward to settling down with Kareena Kapoor. Our marriage will happen very shortly as soon as we both have a little less work on hand and we can give the marriage quality time. Also, her family has to be ready for our marriage," Kareena is now set to visit Saif Ali's parents in their ancestral home of Pataudi in Haryana. Saif Ali's father is of course cricketing legend the Nawab of Pataudi and his mother the Bollywood superstar Sharmila Tagore.

Saif Ali Khan has been married before - for thirteen years to Amrita Singh and they have two children - Sara and Ibrahim. Are Saif Ali's parents looking forward to greeting Kareena in Pataudi? "Yes, it'd have been earlier, but it was too hot," he explained, "Winter is when our family reunions happen every year and Kareena is now part of the family. My parents are extremely fond of Kareena."

Saif Ali was educated at Winchester College in the UK and had a long apprenticeship in Bollywood before picking up significant roles in films such as Dil Chahta Hai, Hum Tum, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Parineeta, Omkara, the fascinating Being Cyrus and this year's early hit Race.

Kareena also went through a period of apprenticeship, although she had some meaty roles in Asoka and Kabhi Kushie Kabhie Gham. However, it was in Chameli and Dev that she really caught our attention as an actress. Later successes included 36 China Town, Omkara, Jab We Met and her most recent hit, Golmaal Returns.
