2009 has been an amazing year for Kareena Kapoor as she has graced the cover of numerous, fabulous fashion magazines, sporting a new look each time. From Gracia and Marie Claire to Femina and Hi! Blitz, Bebo has worked the camera for them all!]

When gracing the cover of Gracia, Kareena went for a high fashion style, donning a turquoise short skirt and a tight, long-sleeved top. On the front page of Marie Claire, the "Kurbaan" actress sizzled in a red dress and red lipstick and pulled off a vintage look with lots of class.

She looked very natural on the cover of Femina magazine, wearing a black top with flowy hair and accessorized with a simple bracelet, and on the front page of Hi!Blitz magazine, Kareena opted for a very glamorous attire with big and beautiful jewelry, colorful clothes in layers and more sophisticated makeup.

Well now it's time for the "3 Idiots" star to ring in the new year with style! The B-town beauty is going glam on the front page of the January issue of GQ India, donning a gorgeous red satin dress and an equally glamorous short bob hairdo.

Kareena Kapoor Promotes 3 idiots dressed in saree Gifted by Aamir

It is rare to find Kareena Kapoor in a saree other than her favourite designer Manish Malhotra’s sarees. Recently at a promotion meet in Bhopal Kareena was spotted wearing a beautiful black Chanderi saree. Like her in the beautiful saree?

Aamir recently gifted a Rs. 25, 000 handloom saree to Kareena Kapoor made by handloom workers of Chanderi village in Madhya Pradesh. Kareena was overwhelmed by the present.

Kareena was asked to fly down to Madhya Pradesh for two days. She had to travel for 14 hours to reach Chanderi. All this while, she didn’t know where they were going and all she knew was that they had to meet Aamir. So when she received the black and gold traditional saree, like the ones the weavers used to make for the nawabs, she was overjoyed.

According to Kareena, Aamir Khan wanted her to have the saree because she is a style icon and she should promote the work of these handloom industries. The ancestors of the workers used to work for royal families. Kareena and Aamir went to the workers’ homes, interacted with them and saw that they live in miserable conditions and make only about Rs. 50 while the designers borrow their work and sell it for Rs. 30-40,000. Aamir has invited some of the workers to the premiere of 3 Idiots.

Kareena Kapoor Judges Dance Premier League!

Dance Premier League a unique dance format that is soon to go on air on Sony Entertainment Television has been creating news all through its audition phases. At the on-going auditions of Dance Premier League, Bebo was seen cheering the Mumbai aspirants amidst lots of fun, frolic and fanfare. Kareena came to support and encourage the West Zone team on Dance Premier League and promote her film ‘Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’.

When we asked her about what does she expect on the show, she said, "I enjoy dance reality shows to others, and I hope a lot of people will dance to my tunes! It’s a great platform for young talent to showcase their dancing skills."

Ironically a lot of contestants chose to dance on her beau Saifu’s numbers from his latest hit Love Aaj Kal… well smart ones we say!

Kareena Kapoor Believe In Power Of yoga

Everyone knows how particular Kareena Kapoor is when it comes to her fitness. The actress has reportedly been saying that it through power yoga that she achieved her zero figure. The results were there for all to see.

Kareena will next be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakkht Ishq. The promos have been creating a lot of buzz and the film is already the most awaited of the year.

As Kareena plays a supermodel in the film, she left no stone unturned to achieve the look.




Though the entire unit used to be tired after a whole day’s shoot, Kareena did not skip her regular power yoga sessions for even a single day. Even after her size zero flirtation, Bebo has stuck to yoga and now maintains her fab figure in a healthy way. And with that bod, the actress has managed to catch the attention of her fans — not only in India, but abroad too.

Kambakkht Ishq’s USP is said to be her chemistry with Akshay Kumar. The film also stars many Hollywood actors, including Sylvester Stallone doing a Gadar act — for the first time in a Bollywood film.

All eyes are on KAMBAKKHT ISHQ and rightly so! Some of the biggest names in the business -- Sajid Nadiadwala, Kishore and Sunil Lulla of Eros, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor -- have got together for this film and the makers have also roped in a good number of international biggies (Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh) for the project.

The first promo of the film will be unveiled this week, with the prints of AA DEKHEN ZARA.

The promo begins with a striking visual -- the skyline of Los Angeles -- and soon Stallone takes over. 

He's about to hand over an award to the best stuntman (Akshay Kumar). Yes, Akki plays a stuntman in the film, while Kareena plays a supermodel.
One would expect the two lovebirds to hold hands and run around trees, right? But KAMBAKKHT ISHQ is different.

Here, the two are constantly at war, constantly arguing and threatening the other. The tu-tu-main-main makes for interesting viewing and the backdrop (Hollywood) only elevates the film to dizzy heights. If the promo is an indicator of what is to follow, await KAMBAKKHT ISHQ with bated breath.

Kareena Saif Ready To Tie Knot

Kareena Kapoor has received as many as four awards in the last one month and she loves it. “Who doesn’t like attention, recognition and awards? I’ve got four awards in a month beginning with the environment award I got from Erin Brockovich, then two youth icon awards from Rotary International and Stardust. And I was honoured by FICCI which Mr Yash Chopra gave to me.”

Kareena is running out space to keep the trophies. “My mother gets exasperated each time I bring home another trophy. Saif wants to know where I’m going to keep all of them. I’ve set aside a whole enclave for trophies and awards. I love looking at them. One day my children are going to look at them and be proud of me.”

For children to happen, Kareena first needs to get married. “It won’t happen for the next two years for sure. Am I crazy to get married now when so many wonderful things are happening to my career? Saif himself is ultra-busy trying to set up his production house. Marriage can wait. I’m just happy to have him by my side. I’ve got the best guy any girl can ever have. Right now I’m so busy I don’t have time to sleep properly. I haven’t even had time to move into my new house.”

After a long time Kareena will be in Mumbai for a some time now. “I’ve a month-long schedule of Rensil’s film coming up in Mumbai.”

It’s hard for Kareena to keep up with the surge crowds and awards in her life. In Delhi last week, Saif and Kareena returned home this week to Mumbai without much shooting done for Rensil D’Silva’s film.

“We never expected such crowds. They were everywhere. And it was impossible to shoot,” she says sounding not the least put off. “Those people who love me out there keep me going. I love my fans and awards.”

And now Delhi will have to be fudged in the Mumbai schedule of D’Silva’s film. The extent of the surging crowds in Delhi in the key shooting spots like Jama Masjid and Janpath for Rensel D’Silva’s untitled film was so huge and unmanageable that the unit has returned without shooting the required sequences.

Back in Mumbai after a week of futile shooting, Kareena says , “ Everywhere we went there were these huge number of people who had come to see Saif and me. They were very sweet very well-behaved. But unfortunately the number of people in key places like Jama Masjid and Janpath was always too high to shoot properly.”

Resultantly, there was almost no shooting. Says Kareena, “We did can some shots. But it was impossible to shoot with wide-angle lenses because the crowds were everywhere. We’ll now have to recreate some of the Delhi sequences in Mumbai.”

Kareena is certainly not unhappy about the attention she got in Delhi. “The people in Delhi were so warm. It just made me realize how much of a responsibility I have towards my audience. At this stage of my career I’d rather take another holiday
than do a bad film.”

Kareena Kapoor Main aur Mrs Khanna Expensive song

Debutante director Prem Soni is presently preparing to shoot a special song for his film Main Aur Mrs. Khanna with its lead stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta in Mumbai.

Unit sources claim a huge set is presently being erected for the song shoot the cost for which will run to Rs. 80 lakhs. This song will be shot between 20th to 25th March in a Mumbai studio.

Farah Khan who has become very selective about her choreography assignments after turning director and now mother especially, will be choreographing this special song. With this song the entire shooting of the film will be completed.

Sources further inform, “All those who have seen the rushes just can’t stop gushing about the film’s magnificent look and the chemistry shared between Salman and Kareena who were last paired in the romantic tragedy Kyon Ki directed Priyadarshan. Sohail and Preity who have very significant roles in the film too are outstanding in their roles.”

A joint co-production between Sohail Khan Productions and UTV Spot Boy, the film is all set for a 3rd July, 2009 release.

It tells the story about Samir and Raina who have a fairy tale marriage, Samir gets his dream job and they both have a great life… and everything they could ever want! Until one wrong decision leads to them parting ways, maybe forever!

Kareena Kapoor Cheif Editor On Mothers Day

She wore the pants for this issue. Kareena Kapoor, drop-dead gorgeous even at touching distance in black trousers and blue top, a scarf hiding her neck, strode into the BT editorial conference room at 11 am with an air of purpose.

She was here to edit today’s International Woman’s Day issue — and share in the Times Group’s plans for Women’s March... a month-long calendar of activities in Mumbai thoughtfully drawn up with the 21st century Indian woman in mind, and incorporating such bold and exciting events as riding the waves and clouds in private yachts and small airplanes, a cooking contest where men wear the aprons and toques and get behind the kitchen fires, and an all-women’s car rally from Bandra Kurla Complex to Lonavla and back. The morning ‘cuppa was ignored, so were veggie sandwiches not made in brown bread, the Bollywood reigning No 1 knows how to maintain her size zero. And she doesn’t snack in between work.

Her agenda was simple, this was a man’s world, yes, but there were quite a few women who had made a difference internationally as well — and now was the time to acknowledge them. Like who, the BT edit team asked. “Take Ash and me in Bollywood, for instance,” Kareena shot back, blue pencil poised. “Ash has gone international, she’s taken the country forward in some way... though she’s not very youth centric.” What about the other actresses? “They’re all still struggling to make the mark,” she smiled back, all dimples. And there was Meryl Streep in Hollywood who had taken acting to another level. “I’d swim the Seven Seas to get a glimpse of her,” the woman editor said wistfully. “Ditto Oprah Winfrey, who rose on the stepping stones of her former troubled life to make such a huge and positive impact on other people’s lives.” Somebody asked, what about Michelle Obama? Kareena pouted, “No, Sonia Gandhi... somebody who when she came to India, didn’t know the local language... but she changed herself and is today running the country.” And Freida Pinto? “She’s got determination and a lot of luck... Lady Luck is on her side, look where she’s come from, a one-bedroom flat in Malad, today she’s doing a Woody Allen film... even Ash hasn’t done that.”

The stories for this issue were discussed, ticked off on the editor’s list as either being approved or shot down. Kareena was asked by an over zealous lady reporter, “Why not have Woman’s Day throughout the year?” She replied without hesitation, “One day makes it more special, we excel at our jobs 24/7, but being celebrated and honoured on just one day makes a difference... it’s like our birthday or Valentine’s day, we’d look forward to it and appreciate it more.” Somebody else grumbled that women were forever taking the backseat once they got married. The woman editor pounced on that cue and tossed it back, saying, “The media does not support actresses who get married. Shaadi ho gayi, tho buddhi ho gayi. Actresses sell their talent, not beauty or souls. In Hollywood, actresses are known for their performances, not status and age... look at Kate Winslet, at Meryl Streep, here once you’re in your 30s, if you’re not sexy, you’re branded a Mata!” .

Kareena, Salman-starrer 'Main aur Mrs Khanna' releases July 3

After the success of 'Aamir' and 'Welcome to Sajjanpur' last year and 'Dev D' this year, UTV Spotboy is now all set to release the much awaited Kareena Kapoor Salman Khan-starrer 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna' on July 3, it was announced today.

Being directed by debutant director Prem Soni and produced by UTV Spot Boy in co-production with Sohail Khan Productions, 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna', which stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan, will hit cine screens on July 3, 2009, the COO of UTV Spot Boy, Vikas Behl announced today.
